About the brand: Behind Lova, there’s the wonderful story of two women, one from Hong Kong, the other from Estonia, who met in Paris 10 years ago. Not only did their friendship last till today, they also founded Lova together. While Alice is a babywearing consultant and mother, Helen is the designer with passion for fashion.

Quote: When I was first pregnant, my husband and I really love the look of Woven Wrap. We also love the versatility of the fabric and thought it is a really good skill to have to not to rely on any gadget in carrying our child. Imagine if there is an emergency, you can just grab a piece of fabric and run with your child, no need to look for the right piece of equipment.

My first impression: A lovely pattern, the wrap densely woven, quite structured and rather stiff, yet. I gave it a wash and it already felt softer but still needs some time to break in neatly. I’d never guess it’s only 240 gsm. I’d be sure it’s more. The structure gives the feeling of a mid-weight wrap.

QuoteVirtue Quadrangle pattern design is inspired by an important element in Estonian folk art. Each corner of the quadrangle has a significant meaning and symbolizes wisdom, diligence, creativity and love

How does it wear: This wrap is more fabric than I’m used to. It provides great support once tightened but needs some work to do so because the structured surface hinders an easy glide. Still, you get a nice result even if it’s not perfectly done. Plus: it stays in place. I imagine great comfort with heavier babies, too. Be aware of a big knot, e.g. when trying a hip carry with a slip knot – could be too bulky 😉 I loved this one (a shorty) for kangaroo (pictures) and rucksack carry.

Conclusion: A structured, rather thick wrap with great support. I’d recommend it for heavier babies and toddlers. A wrap with a lovely design and colour, forgiving minor wrapping mistakes.

Tested in june 2017 with my 5 months old babygirl – thanks for the opportunity!
