Sensimo Slings – review of Asuria Eclipse & Aeshna Nova

Sensimo Slings

Sensimo Slings Sensimo Slings “Asuria Eclipse“ (Tester)

Brand: Sensimo Slings (PL)
Material: 100% cotton
Density: unknown

About the company: Sensimo is a combination of the words “sensitive” and “momma“, which they say, is all what a baby needs the most. The company already designed its first pattern six years ago but started with the first release in 2015. Just a few patterns have been released but I’m sure there will be more. 😉

Sensimo Slings – wrap with great support

My first impression: I already tested Aeshna Nova (read below) and found this one to be pretty similar when touching it, just not as soft as the other one because I am the first to test. But after a wash, it got a little bit better already. I prefer cold colours so this one isn’t my favourite but I can’t deny that it’s perfect in the sun and in nature…

Sensimo Slings How does it wear: As this tester isn’t my base size (I usually use looong wraps), I can’t do a DH but a Ruck with it. Properly tied, the Ruck is surprisingly solid for the not so thick wrap and my heavy toddler. Tightening is easy with this one. Great support in a multi-layer-carry. Nice on the shoulders.

Conclusion: Compared to the other Sensimo I tested, this wrap is quite similar: Easy to tie and destined to get a proper wrap job for everyone, smooth and solid and cush will come with wearing it. Suitable for all. It’s just not my design or colour but there are other lovely designs I’d choose. 😉 An all-cotton allrounder!

Tested in january 2016 with 15 kg and 4 years old wrappee.

Sensimo Slings “Aeshna Nova“ (Tester)

Sensimo Brand: Sensimo Slings (PL)
Material: 100% cotton
Density: 270 g/m2

My first impression: I wasn’t sure if I’d like the pattern. Dragonflies. Well. And the colour. I’m a pink girl but this tester shows a a grad from blue-turquoise towards red. But the wrap was super soft and I’ve been looking forward to wear this cushy thing. 🙂 The wrap felt medium thick.

When I first wrapped it, I was really surprised by how great the pattern and colours looked when I wore it! I really loved it! And while my daughter walked a part of the way and I was freezing a bit (underestimated that it’s already colder in october when the sun hide.s :P) I just wrapped the Aeshna Nova around my shoulders and back and no cape could have done better. Totally fashionable!

Awesome wrapping qualities

How does it wear: I’ve been really happy with the wrapping qualities! I haven’t worn my daughter very often during the warm summer and especially throughout the 3 weeks of school holidays. Because she’s already big, I only wear during longer walks and when accompanying my elder son to Kindergarten, which, obviously, dropped out the past weeks. Sigh…

Anyway, she felt heavier than before but with a proper Double Hammock, I could carry her weight easily. No pain in the back or on the shoulders, just perfect. Another moment, I tried the Ruck, tied Tibetan, my second favourite carry, rather for short ups.

Wasn’t that comfy as Double Hammock but with this weight, no wrap is cozy in a Ruck for very long, so… that’s just what I expected and it for sure was more comfy than with a thin wrap.

Conclusion: This Sensimo wrap is a great working horse for heavier children as well as, I can imagine, very nice with smaller babies, too because it’s so soft and all-cotton. You can do a proper wrap job in an instant. It’s really easy to handle. Give Sensimo Slings a try, it’s worth it!
