Tarabeau

“Red“ (Tester)

Brand: Tarabeau (NL)
Material: 50% EC, 50% merino
density:  240 gr/m2
released: july 2016

About the company: Tarabeau is relatively new on the market. Their wraps are produced in a Belgium Jacquard weaving will, made with exclusive yarn “to create textiles that feel superb, yet are strong enough to hold babies and toddlers safely” (website). Tarabeau’s aim is to stay an exclusive brand with small quantities of unique wraps.

My first impression: When I got the delicately wrapped tester (coming with certificate) and touched it for the first time, I could instantly feel the softness of the merino part. Aww! Like a blanket! Still, it didn’t feel hairy no itchy like other woolies I tried in the past. The red is bright and shiny, the design reminds me of roses, geometrically interpreted 😉 I just had to try the wrap as a scarf! Though red isn’t my colour… 😀

How does it wear: I always feared that wool isn’t mine – too warm or maybe not toddlerworthy. I might have been wrong or, this one is just better than others I tried… I will consider merino as a great blend for me, too 😉 “Red” is easily to wrap with, I just tied a simple Ruck with my daughter and though the wrap is rather mid-weight and didn’t seem too strong, it was great and cushy on my shoulders.

Conclusion: No matter if newborn or toddler – this wrap is suitable for all, brings enough support and a full amount of cush. You will like it as beginner as well as an experienced babywearer. Merino is known to be suitable for warmer and colder days and I guess that’s true 😉 The design is timeless and elegant.
