About the company: Coco-N has been called to life this summer and herewith is one of the newest babywearing brands around. I had the opportunity to get one of the prototypes as the testing phase is still running and the first release is yet to come. Coco-N has been founded by Dmitry and Amata who have been associated with babywearing for years. Their aim is to combine babywearing and style and they say: “Quality, variety of blends, unique patterns and incredible comfort of wearing – we’ve chosen best of the best.” Buying a wrap is no longer like getting an object of utility, it’s an experience like shopping a piece of fashion.
The wrap arrived in a wonderful box, wrapped up in tissue paper. Look at the pictures, like a beautiful present. The chain design is timeless and elegant as is the subtle tone of rose.
How does it wear: My first ups were with my doll. Size 4 is my basic Ruck size but I wanted to try other carries with my doll and had the opportunity to wear my toddler during a walk in the mountains in a Ruck. Pregnant as I am, I just managed to tie in front, over my bump, with the last centimetres of the wrap, haha 😀 What a supportive wrap!!! I would never again underestimate the power of silk! I always heard about silk being toddlerworthy but didn’t believe as I thought it’s just too thin. But this blend, combined with linen, cash and cotton, was perfect! Once tied it stayed in place. I didn’t wear my daughter too long as I wasn’t used to it anymore and we only did a short walk, but it went perfect. Also during my doll tests, I had no problems tightening the wrap so it might take some attention for a proper wrap job with a tiny baby. The wrap seems to be slightly warm but not as warm as an entire woolie. It felt comfy with around 25 degrees outside.
Conclusion: Elegant, supportive, timeless and a luxury blend. Give it a try if you want something special. I’d prefer this wrap with a bigger baby, not newborn, and can recommend to use it till toddler age.
