Kokoro Fluffy Falko Ring Sling

“Fluffy Falko“ Ring Sling

Brand: Kokoro (NL)
Material: 60% organic cotton, 30% merino, 10% polyamid
density:  ? gr/m2
released: nov 2016

About the company: Kokoro was founded in 2014 in the Netherlands. The name means Heart in japanese and you can easily see that the japanese culture has been inspiring for the designers who created the few but unique patterns. Kokoro always surprised with special collaborations for very special wraps like the one with ETLA for “Moonrise unicorn”.

One of the intentions of Kokoro is environmental sustainability and fair labour as well as always looking out for new possibilities in the world of textiles. And high quality is a must for Kokoro. This said, the brand developed a really special range of wraps as well as other products for sophisticated customers who love to try new things.

Kokoro Falko – thick, wooly and soft

My first impression: Wow, that fabric is really thick, wooly and soft. The white side is actually pretty hairy. Because this sling was already travelling as a tester it’s already nicely broken in. The colour is lovely and if you like Falko, you’ll love this one.

How does it wear: Needs a little more effort to draw the fabric through the rings as it’s really thick but it works better than the thin linen I had with another Ring Sling. I had some doubt that Fluffy Falko could work with a Newborn but it did pretty well…

The material isn’t very stretchy which gave it an optimal support and a whole amount of cush like a warm blanket – perfect in the chilly wind we had while testing it oudoors.

The only issue I had was tightening the top rail but as I had so much fabric anyway I just folded it once and got a perfect neck support.

Kokoro Falko – perfect for colder days

Conclusion: Fluffy Falko is a winter allrounder. Use it on chilly days, use it in snowy winterwonderland and you won’t be freezing (your baby neither. 😉 Great support. I guess this will be perfect with toddlers, too. And it’s really comfortable, I guess I will use it again when it’s cold, it’s really comfortable.
