Fleece Babywearing Sweatshirt
About the brand: Lennylamb was founded 2008 in Poland and is a family business run by “people fascinated of the idea of babyweraring”. Lennylamb is known for its colourful and vivid designs that are loved by many babywearers around the world. Meanwhile, Lennylamb doesn’t only design wraps but also carriers, babywearing apparel as well as clothes and accessories like blankets, snoods etc. There’s a huge product range with the unique Lennylamb designs. You will probably buy more than one item if you scroll through their shop once 😉
Tested product: I got the Fleece Babywearing Sweatshirt for babywearing in front or back with a big collar and optional collar and hat for the baby. There’s a zipper on one side under the arm and a snug pocket. Nine sizes are available and it’s designed unisex which means it can be worn by women as well as men. Available in different colours and each one got elements made of woven wrap fabric from Lennylamb – beautiful!
Adjustable neck part for your baby
Fit & practicability: Lennylamb provides measurements on their site which makes it easy to choose the right one. My sweater fits great but could still be a bit wider (I didn’t want it to be to big) or maybe contain a part of stretchy material because it takes some effort to put it on. There’s a zipper on one side beneath the arm but you have to draw the sweater above your head to put it on. Don’t underestimate the amount of fabric of the collar and try to gather it before putting it above your head. It helps that the fleece is a bit stretchy.
Besides, I love the extension for the hands as I usually do have cold hands but don’t want to wear gloves 😉 The sweater is comfy and really warm. Baby’s neck part is adjustable – great to protect the neck from cold and wind. One thing I’d wish for me, you can see it on one of the picture: the lenght of the sweater… I’d wish some more centimeters in length to protect most of my bottom part. Maybe this is something Lennylamb could consider for future designs… depending the size of baby’s part, it’s limited… with 8 months (she wears size 68/74) it fits perfectly, not sure though how it will be when she’s one year old and beyond. But I guess that you might anyway stop using babywearing apparel as soon as your child starts walking and prefer to use a cover and/or a wool or fleece romper for your child.
An unique sweater for colder days
Weather suitability: Great for colder autum or sunny winter days, not suitable during rain or snow, unless you’re using an umbrella 😉 It doesn’t entirely protect from wind, but does to a certain degree. Especially the long collar which can be even draped around your head, offers great protection from cold. There’s an additional hoodie for the baby (didn’t use it on the picture because it wasn’t too cold).
Conclusion: A lovely, comfy sweater for many purposes during colder seasons. Can be worn by women or men and with baby in front or back. The sweater allows you to move freely and keep you and your baby warm with a joyful hint of colour that makes it unique.
Tested in september 2017 with my 8 months old baby – thanks for the opportunity!
