About the brand: Ling ling d’amour is a small but quite known french brand, founded by Elodie, a mom, who wanted babywearing to become mainstream with affordable products. Together with her husband she runs the brand, since 2014, from Cambodia. Most products are unicoloured with a few exceptions.

My first impression: The Mid-Taï is simple, comes in a deep purple with contrasting hems and adjustable panel (in height and width). A characteristic feature is the padded head support with the brands’ hearts logo that can be flapped. The hip belt is slightly foam padded on two small spots next to the panel, the shoulder straps are not.

How to adjust it: The back panel can be adjusted easily by using the cords. This way it grows steplessly with your baby. If needed, you can also use the shoulder straps to reinforce the seat. The head support can be flapped for an optimal support of smaller babies or also for bigger babies who like to turn around their head. You can leave it upwards, too or use it that way to support the head while your baby or child is asleep.

How does it fit & wear: The Mid Taï is quick and easy to adjust and put on. It fits well and there’s yet enough space for my 15 months old to grow. I used the full height of the panel but with a smaller adjustment she could have her arms out which might be better for her 😉 I can’t tell if the head support is practicable also with smaller babies. I left it up on the pictures to show that it’s comfy for bigger ones, especially, I guess, when they fall asleep. I’d put it downwoards though when adjusting panel to an arms-out-position. I forgot to took pictures of it this time but will do some later I hope 😉
Anyway, concerning me, I’d wish for a better padded hip belt, a padding going from front till where you make the knot. It would be more comfier to walk longer distances. Maybe a buckled version would also be interesting for some people. The straps can be spread over your shoulder so it’s okay that they aren’t padded.

Conclusion: The Mid-Taï for sure is a great carrier to put into your handbag, backpack or stroller for quick uses during travels, errands or short trips, especially during warmer days because it’s leightweight and doesn’t need a lot of space. Starting from around 10 kg weight of your baby the non-padded hipbelt might not be too comfy to be used for longer walks or hikes. But for sure it’s a nice solution for bigger kids who need a short up from time to time.
