My first impression: Helix Arca is a totally fluffy, blanket-like wrap. It’s rather heavy with a loose weave and pretty soft over all. The colours are subtle and matching (I love the combination of these three very much), the graphic design even more appealing then in the pictures I’ve seen before. As you can spot on my pictures above, it’s hard to capture the colours right, but the pictures made outside are more true.
How does it wear: I usually struggle a bit with thicker wraps, especially when they’re short but I still managed to tie a kangaroo carry. I don’t like the kangaroo but, surprise, I got a nice result and a comfy wrap throughout the whole walk. The knot got pretty bulky, but no prob in the front. The wrap is pretty forgiving and totally soft, spreaded on the shoulders.
Conclusion: Mid-weight cushy cotton dream, best for bigger babies/toddlers. Not easy to wrap due to the thicker fabric, but totally forgiving and very supportive. The Helix design is so special, you think you’ve got two wraps in one ’cause both sides do have a pretty different look.
