Windelmanufaktur cloth diapers – easy and beautiful

Have a look at my Blog for the german version of this article… 🙂

It was relatively late when I discovered cloth diapers for my daughter, my second child. She was already 18 months old and we were trying to leave the diapers away while I was ordering my very first package of cloth diapers.

2 months later, she lived in pants for 24hrs and I packed away the diapers, only to get the out when my clients were interested in this topic. Of course I openly told people to switch from normal to cloth diapers because of the many advantages.

Windelmanufaktur – cloth diapers from Germany, a 3-in-1-system with comfort and style!

When I discovered the german diapers manufactury and read about its quality and wonderful designs (there’s a range of diapers sewn out of wrap fabric – perfect for me as babywearer), it was already too late but I kept the brand in my mind… till I got pregnant again. 🙂

My baby is due in january and it was clear that I would try the diapers of the Windelmanufaktur, additionally to a diaper-free lifestyle whenever it’s possible (I sure will be in need of diapers during busy hours with the bigger kids, while doing errands or during the night…). Thanks to the lovely Stephanie, founder of the Windelmanufaktur, I was able to get one of the Newborn sets. 🙂

And now telling you how the 3-in-1-system works

  1. This is what you need: the outer diaper shell, the inner diaper with buttons (brown, yellow buttons) and the inlays. Inlays are available with cotton, hemp and as boosters (booster not pictured here). They can be combined or just used as you prefer… E.g. you will use the hemp when you think you can’t change the diaper for a while…
  2. Just button-in the waterproof inner diaper. You can also make it smaller if needed… it will perfectly fit around your babys bum.
  3. Now, choose an inlay. It won’t get out of place as it’s secured between the edges of the inner diaper…
  4. … adjust and close it around your baby and that’s it! 🙂

This system has the great advantage that you don’t have to change the whole diaper and wash it. Often, it’s enough to change the inlay. You can just wipe the inner diaper with a moisty towel if it got dirty and/or hang it to dry. So: definitely less laundry! 🙂

And you’re really flexible with the use of the differen inlays. If you’re not convinced, yet, try it and order your own set. Different ones are available.

I didn’t tell you that there’s also the possibility to get your own custom cloth-diaper from the Windelmanufaktur. You can send them your own fabric (maybe of your favourite wrap?) and choose the colour of the gussets and snaps – how does that sound? You’ll find all the information about the diapers, the available packages, accessories and the custom process and many more information on their site!

diaper mat to go 🙂

We want to give a huge thank you to the Windelmanufaktur for the lovely newborn set we received. 🙂 Keep up the very good work!
