Brand: Izmi Baby (UK) About the Company: Izmi Baby founder Emily Williamson isn’t only a mother and experienced babywearing consultant, she also set up the well-known South London Sling Library. With the Izmi Baby Carrier she launched a lightweight hybrid buckle carrier that is quite famous in the UK, available in major stores like Toys R Us.

My first impression: I fell in love with this wrap in an instant. That deep purple! That soft and slightly cold feeling of the fabric – awesome!

How does it wear: With 56 cm width approx and tapered ends, it’s perfect to use with small babies. Once tied, it wears great but due to its quite high amount of stretch you need to pretie it tightly, something you’ll find out after 2-3 times using it. The wrap is great for newborns for a cozy, close feeling but I also had to test it with my 15 months old daughter. I wouldn’t say you can’t use a stretchy wrap with a heavier child but it won’t stay in place for long. The Izmi is a bit stretchier than others I’ve tried, including the JPMBB, which means that, after 10 mins wearing it, it’s lowered, baby’s weight is mostly on your hips and it’s not comfortable anymore. But for short front cuddles, it’s still very snugly 🙂

Conclusion: Perfect newborn stretchy wrap, especially during warmer temperatures. Intense colours, smooth and cool feeling, high amount of stretch.

Tested in april with a 6 weeks old girl. Thanks to the sponsor AdviKids for the opportunity!

Special thanks to my friend and her cute baby for being models for this review in their flat! I had some issues with my camera that day, that’s why part of the photos were dark as night and part of them were blurred but we still got some pretty shots, right? 😉
