About the company: Made in Germany by heart – the philosophy behind Hänschenklein is, to support small, local family enterprises in involving them in the production of their slings. High standard, safety and comfort are one other goal they wanted to reach when thinking about the launch of the brand.

At the moment, Hänschenklein only offers Linen Ring Slings in different uni colours but they think on producing wraps, too, some day. Edit 2020: Meanwhile, they also offer thin and soft stretchy wraps and other related baby products.

My first impression: I love the package – very nice! 🙂 But also the sling is great. Super soft linen, beautiful colour. Rather thin and very airy. I imagine this Ring Slings are more than perfect for warmer days, especially summer! And, of course, for newborns. 🙂

Hänschenklein Ring Sling – supportive and light

"HänschenkleinHow does it wear: The linen has a very low amount of stretch which makes it really supportive. I love how airy it is with my tiny baby. I’ve worn the Ring Sling during almost two hours and didn’t feel the weight. No pressure on my shoulder. I’ve worn the Ring Sling outside in the sun without a jacket, just a shirt for me and a merino suit for my baby – perfect fabric for this! 🙂

I thought linen to be easy to slip through the rings but it took me some effort to do so… Just never skip the part of sorting the fabric before you draw it through the rings! 😀 And it’s useful to support the weight of your child any time you try to pull the linen through the rings – no matter if you’re tightening or untightening… I guess this will improve after you’ve used it a lot…

Conclusion: If you love Ring Slings, you should definitely go for one of these beauties! I’d recommend them for newborns and not to heavy babies though linen can be very supportive – just try it! You might also like it with your toddler.

Hänschenklein Ring Sling – perfect for summer

Because the slings are very airy and a lightweight, you can easily put them in your bag or luggage, they won’t need any space – perfect to take them with you at any times. This is the sling to choose during hot periods. Also, if you like the philosophy of the brand and want to know where your sling has been produced, it’s nice to support it. But please take your time to sort the fabric accurately before tightening and support your baby’s weight as the fabric doesn’t glide easily in the beginning.

Tested in january/february 2017 with my baby girl. Thanks to the sponsor!
