Limas Plus – Allrounder for bigger babies and toddlers

Brand: Limasbaby
Carrier: Limas Plus (adjustable Half-Buckle)
material
: 100% organic cotton, jacquard woven wrap (model with fabric from Didymos Prima Aurora)
weight/age recommendation: 3,5-18 kg, from size 62/68

About the company: Limas is a pretty young family business in Germany with a range of two versatile Half-Buckle carriers, available in different designs. Designed in Germany, made in EU. Anna and Philipp Sauer are lovely babywearing parents who run their business with heart and passion. They’re eager to match the parents wishes for babywearing and there’s a Full-Buckle/Onbu planned as well to add to their product range…

My first impression: As I’ve been already familiar with the normal Limas baby carrier, but wasn’t happy anymore with the hip belt when carrying my already big daughter on the back, I’ve been thrilled to see the “improved” toddler variation “Limas Plus“.

The hip belt is broader and more stable, the back panel is easy adjustable with buckled straps, the shoulder straps are padded on the shoulder part and the head support is detachable. After my test, a new version of the Limas Plus appeared with easily removable pads (for the shoulder straps) – very nice idea!

Limas Plus = very comfortable!

How to adjust it: The adjustment is very easy. The back panel can be adjusted with velcro and the wide back straps can be used to broaden the panel even more. On the top of the panel two small buckled straps are there to shorten it for smaller babies. The head rest can be narrowed, too, with a cinchcord.

How does it fit and wear: I’ve been surprised in a very positive way how comfy the Limas Plus is. I’ve carried my girl for over an hour and didn’t feel the need to readjust the straps nor did I feel too much weight or a pain in the back etc. It was just like we could go on for even more hours.

And yes, I even tried it on a hike. The fact I could use the straps for several tibetan finishes makes the weight distribution very even and adds a fashionable touch to the already beautiful Aurora design. I loved to play with finishes on this carrier, I’d decided to call a Half-Con (Half-Buckle meets Wrap Con 😉 !

Conclusion: This one is indeed already a “top item” in my consultancies for a reason. You should really try it. I’ve recently had a 5 months old who already fit quite well and I guess you’ll be able to use the Limas Plus comfortably for at least 2 years with your toddler.

Tested with my 16 months old baby in may/june 2018. Thanks to the sponsor for the opportunity!
