About the brand – Didymos

Didymos is one of the first and most famous brands concerning babywearing. They are well known for their awesome range of woven wraps which production started back in 1972 when babywearing wasn’t a thing every parent knew.

Until today, they continue being an important brand on the market making babywearing a joy for everyone. I’ve already been testing a Ring Sling from them and own(ed) several woven wraps. Some of their designs are highly sought after and are very classic and famous as well like “Prima” or “Lisca“. The woven fabrics are also often used by other brands to build their carriers, such as Limas Baby or Buzzidil.

DidyKlick test – Overview of specifics

  • Quick, safe and convenient buckle

My first impression of the DidyKlick

Didymos DidyKlick Prima Sole Occidente cinch Besides that I really love the Prima design, especially in gradients like Aurora and Sole Occidente, this Half-Buckle looks pretty handy. Especially because it can be used from birth until toddlerhood. That’s not the case with any Half-Buckle. E.g. I love the Limas Plus but it’s not a good choice before sizes 68/74. The smaller Limas though, isn’t stable enough for toddlers. On the DidyKlick, a pull on the toggle on the front panel will cinch down the height which makes it perfect for small babies. The seat belt can be narrowed, too, of course.

How to adjust the Didymos DidyKlick

As already mentioned: the seat can be adjusted via velcro to define the width and with the toggle the pouch gets smaller. For bigger kids, it’s possible to use the shoulder straps to make the seat wider and give an extra support. The flat shoulder straps can be spread around your shoulders or gathered. They can also be worn flipped. Use the hood as a headrest by pulling the drawstring and fixing it through the loop.

How does the DidyKlick fit and wear

Didymos DidyKlick Prima Sole Occidente toddlerwearing I’ve been testing the DidyKlick with my +2,5 years old daughter for short ups and longer walks as well. It’s quite comfy for both of us but I guess I’d prefer a thicker material that’s more supportive than the thin Prima. And I also prefer wider, curved hip belts for more support. But it’s well padded and perfectly does its job.

My daughter probably should sit a bit higher than on the left picture and the panel would reach nearer her armpits. The shoulder straps are long enough for fancy (tibetan( finishes, which I like a lot while backcarrying.

Conclusion of my DidyKlick test

The DidyKlick is one of the most versatile Half Buckles fitting early and lasting long. It will definitely get a pole position among the Half Buckles in my consultancy stash. I really love how it fits the tiniest which makes it a perfect carrier for at least the first 1-2 years of babywearing.

Special thanks to the sponsor Natürlich Familie for being able to test & review this carrier.
