About the Company: Emeibaby is the “baby” of Daniela, a babywearing mom who found wraps weren’t easy to use after the birth of her daughter in 2008. So she invented a carrier who combined the practicability of a Full Buckle with the comfort of a Ring Sling.

My first impression of the Easy Emeibaby

Easy Emeibaby For years I’ve been using and showing the “old” Emeibaby that will no longer be produced. It was a nice carrier but due to the fact that people needed to stuck the fabric of the pouch between hip-belt and belly before grabbing the baby, and then adjust it, made it too complicated for many parents.

So, the new version doesn’t have this extra fabric. The pouch is sewn on the hipbelt and the carrier has to be used “apron” style (see pic on the left). Looks interesting and I’m excited to try it. The shoulder straps seem to be a bit broader then before with an extra padding for even more comfort.

How to adjust the Easy Emeibaby

Big advantage: you only have to adjust the pouch by drawing the material through the rings, like before. The pouch is formed automatically by placing your baby in front of (not above) the hip belt and putting the back panel up. You can also shorten the shoulder straps. No further adjustments… Which makes it really easy to use.

Anyway, we call it apron but it’s not exactly the same because the fabric that holds baby’s knees is coming from the TOP rail of the hipbelt, not from the bottom rail as with normal carriers worn apron…

How does it fit & wear

Easy Emeibaby Some people “complained” about the hip belt that has been curved earlier and now is rectangular. Emeibaby states that the curved hip belt was invented for curvy people who found it more comfy. But also that the advantage of it only shows when worn on the hips.

But with the Easy Emeibaby used apron, the hip belt turns into a belly belt and that’s why it’s the best solution to use a rectangular belt. A curved one probably would stick out.

I tried it and I didn’t found the rectangular belt less comfy. It has a bit of extra padding combined to the last one.

The Easy Emeibaby might be an interesting choice for mothers who had a Cesarean because the hip belt is worn higher and won’t affect the lower part of the belly.

Conclusion of my Easy Emeibaby test

It’s great that Emeibaby decided to change something on their carrier. It’s a popular and comfy carrier but most parents thought it was too difficult to use it. That was worth the change. And the Easy Emeibaby  As you can see on my pictures my rather small two years old girl could use a longer back panel which means I’d recommend to use the toddler version if your child is around size 80.

Tested with my 2 years old girl, weighing 11kg and wearing size 80. Thanks to the sponsor!
