MaMo carrier – modular for every need

Mamo Babytrage

Mamo set babycarrier Brand: Mamamotion
Carrier: MaMo / Half-Buckle
material: 100% linen (panel, shoulder straps)
special feature: modular concept! Available are 5 different panels from size 38-104, two different kinds of shoulder straps (Full Buckle will come, too) and hipbelts, head rest and suck pads – all to be bought separately.

About the company: Mamamotion is famous for the Kumja – an insert for pregnancy and babywearing. The “MaMo” is the newest project of the german babywearing brand with shops in Hannover & Hamburg

My first impression: The MaMo arrived in a small box – each part sorted – so much fun! And a really small and lightweight package. My chosen set came with an instruction manual. The parts of the carrier are rather thin.

Mamo detail sizing panel How to use it: Please have a look at my video (link at the bottom), it’s really easy and fast. 1. Detach the red velcro pad from the panel, 2. Attach the hipbelt to the panel by closing the snaps (middle one is coloured on both parts), 3. close velcro 4. attach shoulder straps to the panel, close snaps and fix with toggle buttons, 5. attach headrest. Ready to use!!! (Until you need a bigger panel 😉

How does it fit and wear: I had some doubts depending the linen… I like linen for it’s support with wraps or ring slings but a carrier!? There’s not much material on my shoulders… but it felt totally comfy!

And the hip belt is padded and coated with a mix of cotton/polyester. The panel is one size but still steplessly adjustable by fastening the velcro wherever needed for the optimal M-position of your baby/toddler.

Mamo detail hipbelt Conclusion: Totally easy and recommendable babywearing system! Besides the fact that it’s quick, easy and lightweight which makes it ideal to carry with you, it’s also very cheap. You don’t have to buy a whole new carrier when you need to upsize!

The panel will always fit great until you need the bigger size. And, if you like to change between straps, just buy the other ones! 😉 It’s also possible to switch the designs of your headrest (or suck pads) by buying more than one –

Tested in november 2017 with my 10 -11 months old daughter. She’s wearing size 68-74 in clothes and panel. 😉

Many thanks to Mamamotion for the testing possibility!
