My first impression: Orange isn’t the colour of my choice. Never 😀 Despite this fact, this stretchy wrap felt totally different to others I owned or have touched before. It’s less stretchy but also less soft. The hemp makes a different surface. It looks as if the fabric got some pilling. And it’s rather rough. If you use cloth diapers or inserts with hemp, you know what I’m talking about. Same with machine woven wraps made of hemp. This said, the wrap is perfect for experimenting with back carries 😉 But first, I gave it a wash. Machine, 40 degrees, hang up on the line – no prob! As many stretchy wraps, it’s pretty narrow (I measured around 47cm). MaM Eco Babywearing Set

How does it wear: it’s really the most supportive stretchy wrap I’ve ever tried! The stretch is limited to the diagonal and the vertical. It’s just a small amount of stretch horizontally and even the stretchy part in the diagonal/vertical isn’t approaching the amount of a Moby, JPMBB or Manduca. That said, the hemp makes this wrap almost a hybrid with the clothes-like comfort of a stretchy and the support of a woven wrap. I created a nice and very tight result with my baby in the front and had fun using the Double Hammock with this one. Normally, Double Hammock and I aren’t friends. I’ve got T-Rex arms and always struggle with the pass on the back. But look how happy I am with this one. I carried her for an hour doing things in the household. The only thing that could be improved here is the broadth of the wrap. 47cm are never sufficient. Nothing to tuck under her bum.

Conclusion: Great stretchy wrap for experienced babywearers who want to experiment! Not that soft and you’ll need to get used to its texture but never mind… should be broader for more support and fun with bigger babies.

Tested in december with my 11 months old girl. Thanks for the opportunity!
