About the company: Shabany is a pretty new brand from Germany who wants to mingle babywearing with design, quality and style. There are Ring Slings, wraps and stretchy wraps available in eight different colours each, stretchy wraps sold out at the moment.
My first impression: The Shabany wrap comes lovely packed, with a nice shimmer, beautiful purple and seems densely woven. It’s soft, smooth and thin. The colour changes in different light situations.
How does it wear: The wrap glides smooth, but misses some grip. It’s pretty light and soft which makes it nice to wear. I’d prefer a multi-layer carry for wearing on the back for a more secure feeling but then, I remarked that the second pass of my Double Hammock got lost during our walk – this is why I’d recommend another carry with leg passes 😉 My colleague (see one of the pics below) tried the front carry and got a nice result.
Conclusion: Lovely colour range and nice quality for your babywearing start. The wrap is soft from the beginning and fine with newborns but also agreeable also with bigger children if you use a multi-layer carry and/or legpasses to prevent the wrap from sliding away.
