Pure Baby Love – test and review

Brand: Pure Baby Love (NL)
Material: 100% cotton
Density: 225 g/m2
Colour: baby pink

About the brand: Pure Baby Love has been founded 2015 by Marjolein and Martijn Hendriksma in the Netherlands. They started with 3 pastel uni-coloured baby wraps and because they were very well accepted they widened their product range to today several colours, ring slings, jumpsuits and an adjustable baby carrier (it looks really interesting, just by seeing the pictures). They not only emphasize on high quality and ergonomics, they also closely work together with babywearing consultants, as Marjolein is one herself.

My first impression: The Pure Baby Love wrap was said to be one of the softest woven wrap ever. That’s true for sure. It’s soft from the start and stays like that after an initial wash. As soon as you start wearing it, it becomes even softer but also a bit hairy. It’s a light-medium wrap with a really beautiful pastel pink.

How does it wear? It’s really a great wrap for starters, for parents with newborns and for one-layer carries. Although my child is alreasy 15 months old, it’s supportive enough. The Pure Baby Love wrap has a very low amount of stretch (and a high amount of cush, of course 😉 which means you can walk with it for hours easily. Due to it’s hairy texture, the wrap doesn’t glide very well which makes it harder to use it for multi-layer carries like Double Hammock (see my pictures). But once tied, your baby will feel weightless.

Conclusion: I’d really recommend the Pure Baby Love wrap for new parents. It’s a lovey wrap to start your babywearing journey with – very comfy and soft as a blanket. Perfect during the first months wearing your baby in front and also great in a simple Ruck on your back.

Tested with my 15 months old baby in april 2018. Thanks for the opportunity!
