About the company: Neko slings has been established in 2012 in Turkey. The people behind Neko Slings emphasize on high quality from yarns to weaving. They’re also totally open for feedback from babywearing consultants and testers. The name of the brand, „Neko“ is japanese for „cat“. Now, they explain why: Neko Slings baby carrier

We are inspired by how mother cats carry their kittens naturally with ease and care. Babywearing is instinctive. Our uniqe motivation is to ensure nmothers to carry their babies with the same ease and an instinctive elegance.

Neko Slings baby carrier My first impression: A comfy carrier with wrap fabric, soft leg padding, nice design and easy handling but no possibility to adjust the panel in height or width. The carrier comes with a long head rest with elastic drawstrings. The hip belt is curved and wide, the shoulder straps do have a thick padding.

How to adjust it: As already written above, the panel isn’t adjustable to the baby. You can, however, use a string to make it smaller and get the optimal knee-to-knee postion.

How does the Neko Slings baby carrier feel…

The Neko Slings baby carrier is comfortable on the hips due to its very supportive belt – really pleasant especially when wearing your child on the back. The shoulder stripes are a bit too thick and stiff for me but this might change when the carrier is used more often, meaning the material getting softer. The position on the back panel is just okay for me. Some centimeters higher and it would be too narrow for my arms. However, if you’ve got normal arms (which I dont’t :P), it should fit well.

How does it fit to the baby: With 6 months and size 68 her legs are still a bit too short to fit in properly. Especially on the back, her legs spread too much. But the padding is is nice to prevent from cuttings. The height of the back panel is okay as you can see on the pics, although the part of the neck is too wide. Some kind of cord for narrowing it would be nice for tinier babies.

Conclusion: Comfortable, easy to use full-buckled carrier with a wrap fabric panel fitting babies starting size 68 approximately. Unfortunately, there’s no possibility to adjust the panel. You can however narrow the buckles on two positions on each side for better fitting to the wearer’s figure.

Tested in may-july 2017 with my 4-6 months old baby. Thanks to babysun.at for the opportunity! Have a look on their site. I love their wraps and accessories.
