“Stonehenge“ (Tester)

Creator/owner: Anna Rzhanova (Russia)
Material: Cotton, Viscose (Tencel)
Density: 237 gsm
Weave: Crackle
Release: january, 2017

About the brand: Anna might be rather known through her machine woven brands Polotno and Volgaslings. But she’s also designing handwovens for years now. She’s very kind and ready to fulfill your wishes.

My first impression: I am no fan of crackle, I just don’t like the look but this one has a recognizable structure/design and looks really interesting. It’s vivid and shiny, it drags your attention. It’s black and white with some hints of colour throughout the fabric. I can see blue, orange, red… it’s wow! I really like it, especially since it’s also very, very soft and wonderfully thin. I’d love to hide and keep it but of course I don’t… 😉
Seriously, I even cannot stop looking at the pictures, it’s gorgeous! And this said from a girly-colours-hearts-or-twill-lover.

How does it wear: Stonehenge is amazing if you love thinner wraps. Soft from the beginning and no weight! This would be the wrap I’d have laying around for quick ups in a daily routine. It’s comfortable and easy to tighten though there’s some kind of stretch, too. The length and thinness invites to try different carries or finishes. And you’ll get a neat wrap job every single time with no effort.

Conclusion: That wrap really contemplates me in doing another custom with Anna. My daughters custom is years ago now… So far, only handwovens managed to satisfy me completely. There are nice machine wovens, of course, but with handwovens, it’s as if they go the extra mile for you… It’s just a bit more of comfort in wrapping & wearing, which Stonehenge provides another evidence of.

This test was done in may 2017 with my 6,5 kg and 4 months old wrappee.
Thank you for the opportunity!
