Fiddling Weaver

Fiddling Weaver “Forest Aurora with black weft“ (Tester)

Weaver: Milena Kluz (FR)
Material: Cotton
Density: ca. 340 gsm

About the weaver: Milena Kluz started to weave wraps in 2015, starting her label “Fiddling weaver”. The tester, Forest Aurora, was a wrap of the very first warp she did. Since then she tried different weaves… all wraps she did are really colourful, showing a very natural grade of colours.

My first impression: The tester is already soft and cushy. Mid-Weight, not too thick and like a blanket, with fringes. The black weft, combined with the diamond weave lets the colours shine bright. If I wouldn’t have known the name, the first association was indeed a Forest…

How does it wear: Lovely, easygoing wrap with a bit stretch and bounce. You need to love this or at least respect this and pull the fabric tight if you don’t want your child to hang. Tied nicely, it’s supportive, nice on the shoulders and the fringes are pretty decorative. I tied a Ruck ’cause the wrap wasn’t long enough for a DH but felt nice… I even wrapped my daughter in front because she wanted once. I had to tie the carry under her bum but it was okay. I wouldn’t walk with that for an hour with her weight but the wrap supported her.

Conclusion: Though it supports my heavy daughter, I’d recommend this wrap for younger children between birth and 12 kg maybe… The cush makes it a wonderful wrap for newborns, too.

This test was done in january 2016 with my 15 kg and 4 years old daughter.
