About the company: Stefanie & Stephanie are the lovely ladies behind Mama Nuka. Their aim was to produce an all natural baby wrap, no chemistry at all. The wraps are dyed with plants which make them very special. Used weaves are diamond and herringbone to guarantee an optimal support. The cotton is organic and certified and Mama Nuka gets it from India, where Stefanie and Stephanie have travelled to by themselves.

My first impression: Aurora is soft out of the box, very thin but lovely woven. Two shades of a very natural rosewood pink, arranged in two blocks, the light-coloured one, in which you can perfectly see the weaving structure, is more broad. The colour blocks help to wrap correctly (without twisting the wrap accidentally) and give it a nice look while wearing it.

How does it wear: I didn’t want to try such a thin wrap with my heavy preschooler so I wrapped my doll. It works very well and easy, which makes it a perfect wrap for beginner and with newborns. The wrap is solid and pretty smooth already, no need to break it in. Though thin, it’s supportive and nice on the shoulders.

Conclusion: Suitable for beginners, easy to wrap and tighten. Best with newborns and smaller babies. If you want a real natural and organic wrap – this is the one you should choose. No compromises here! I can definitely recommend it and I guess it’s pretty nice to wear on warmer days – a real lightweight you could also occasionally use as blanket when not wearing it.

Tested in november 2016 with my 3,3kg babywearing doll and pregnancy bump ? Mama Nuka wraps are available in four colours and two kinds of weave.
