About the Brand: Wombat & Co. London has been founded in 2015 to design fashionable and practicable babywearing coats with high quality.
Tested product: Wombat & Co. London Wallaby 2.0 grey & black, pregnancy & babywearing jacket
Quote: Inspired by nature, we have created a jacket with personality, soft and trendy, that will keep you and your little one warm and dry in the cold winters. A jacket that will adapt to all your needs, from pregnancy until your baby is ready to face the world on her own.
Wombat & Co. Wallaby 2.0
Tested product & features: the Wallaby 2.0 comes with insert to zip in, detachable hood and collar for the wearer, with man-made sheepskin as layer. Elastic drawstrings help to adjust the insert to your bump or baby’s size. Elastic drawstrings on the inside of the jacket do the same for you when you’re wearing the coat without bump or baby. 😉
And make a more feminine look of course! Flat inner cuffs keep your arms warm. Zipper on the back allows babywearing also on he back. Front pockets with snaps for your hands or stuff like smartphone and keys. The jacket is wind and water repellent but breathing.
Fit & practicability: The size I ordered fits perfect. It’s the same I usually wear. But there’s a size guide on their website – check it out before you will place your order. The drawstrings help adjusting the jacket to your physique. The Wallaby is simply to use with one insert that can be used during pregnany and for babywearing in front and back. The collar is great to keep you warm, as well as the hood. A hood for the baby is missing though.
Great all-weather-coat
The pockets can be closed with a snap button which is something I appreciate with every jacket due to my fear of losing my keys or phone without remarking. The pockets are also great to keep your hands warm if you don’t wear gloves.
Weather suitability: The Wombat & Co. London Wallaby 2.0 is an all-weather-coat and is great for colder days, no matter if stormy, rainy or snowy. The cuffs protect the wearer from cold getting in the jacket. The length of the coat is ideal. Hood and collar are detachable but grat to wear during chilly days.
Conclusion: I love the Wallaby! It’s a perfect coat for the cold season. No matter what the weather says, you can go out and stay warm and dry. The fluffy collar doesn’t only provide a cozy warm feeling around your neck, it also looks nice and fashionable.
The colour range of the Wallaby is rather neutral. Five combinations are available. Most “colourful” one is the green jacket and a lovely feminine one is the brown & tea rose. There’s also a model for babywearing dads! 🙂
Just don’t forget to dress your baby’s head appropriately, e.g. with an elephant hood and, if needed, some kind of a waterproof hat. Last but not least, worn without insert, the Wallaby can be used as a normal jacket, too!
Tested in november 2017 with my 9 months old baby – thanks for the opportunity!
